Panasonic UJ-860 V1.41 Firmware Update

This is an Optical Disk Drive ODD firmware update program. This program runs in Windows and will update the DVD Super Multi DL ODD firmware to version 1.41. This update program supports the following ODD: Panasonic UJ-860HTJ-A Change Points Changes were made to correct the following: Eliminates an unusual noise that occasionally occurs when the drive is reset during startup and reboots. This noise will only be heard momentarily and will not persist. Special Notes The user performing this firmware update must be logged in as an Administrator or the program will not run properly. Installation Instructions Save this file to a convenient location such as the Windows Desktop. Close all running applications. Before beginning the firmware update be sure to remove any discs from the drive. Begin the firmware install process by double-clicking the file downloaded to the Windows Desktop. Open the disc tray and click OK. Install Note: If no ODD or an ODD other than the Panasonic UJ-860HTJ-A is installed in the computer The target drive is not connected will be displayed. Install Note: If the ODD firmware is up to date Firmware of drive is already up to date will be displayed. After reading the warning messages click OK. Click OK to start the firmware update. When the update process has completed click EXIT. Restart your computer.
