Sony Electronics PCG-R505EL Driver. If you want to get the full fuctionality of your Sony Vaio Laptop model PCG-R505EL, then you will need these drivers. Sonys retarded american website selectively posts driver files and these, which are key to operation, aren't there. Here is an inventory of the drivers included in this zip:
File Contents: You need to reinstall (in this order):
. Sony Utilities DLL
. Sony Shared Library
. Hotkey Utility
. Jogdial Utility
. PowerPanel Utility
I was instructed to install them in the order above, but I installed the Sony shared libraries first by accident. Everything still went smooth though. Always install the chipset drivers (not insluded in this zip as they can be found at Intels site)first before installing these. After you install the above drivers, you may proceed to install your gfx,network,sound and other drivers.
FYI: I unpacked these files directly from my Sony Recovery CDs that I was forced to buy since Sony doesn't provide these for download. I'm sparing you the $$$.
