Emachines T1100 WinXP Driver

Emachines T1100 Driver. WARNING WARNING! THIS BIOS UPDATE IS NOT THE EXACT ONE FOR THE MOTHERBOARD! EMACHINES DOES NOT HAVE BIOS UPDATES! USE THIS ONE ONLY IF YOU ARE HAVING THE FOLLOWING TROUBLES AND HAVE TRIED THE FIXES!

1:Are you recieving a message when you install windows xp saying that your board is not fully aspi compliant? If yes, disable aspi in the bios under the power option. Try again, then go to step 2. Otherwise, go to step 2.

2. Is windows xp setup saying it cant find your keyboard, yet you know it works because you can go into bios? ((Note this problem will not appear if you have a USB keyboard) If yes, go to Download instructions. If no, go to step 3.

3: Do the keyboard and mouse work in windows? If yes, go to step 4. If no, disable your Ac'97 audio through bios. If your mouse and keyboard start working again in windows, then go to download instructions, otherwise go to step 4.

4. Does your device manager show a couple devices that show code 12: system can not find enough free resources to install? If yes, go to download instructions. if no, do NOT load this bios update, your problem is elsewhere.

Download instructions.

run the exe and put a floppy in the disk drive. it will extract everything needed to boot from that disk and load the new bios update.

AGAIN THIS IS A WORK AROUND.

YOU WILL LOSE YOUR ONBOARD AUDIO

THIS IS AN IRREVERSABLE ACTION!

DO NOT POST NEGATIVE COMMENTS IF YOU TRIED THIS BIOS AND DIDNT FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS FIRST! THAT IS YOUR FAULT!

ok ok an explanation on what is going on. Simply put, your bios got corrupted, needs to be reflashed. it wont allow enough resources to be alloticated for the OS to assign. Since Emachines doesnt support bios updates, there is no way to get the EXACT bios for this board.

This is again a work around, and it does work. Hope this helps
